artist statement

My work questions the status quo, exploring how the body and mind exist in a constant state of hybridity and movement within the post-internet world. I work through a muted, liminal language that shifts between forms and identities. Influenced by bilingual experience, my expression often exists in a blurred space between cultures.

Working across forms of street & club culture, contemporary dance theatre, performance, and concept-driven practices, I focus on building texture, language, and modes of communication that reflect multicultural experiences. My approach draws from historical lineages of learning that are often nontraditional and shaped by oppressive systems that continue to demand visibility and dialogue. I explore feelings of dysphoria and displacement across multiple formats, bringing together visual elements, sound, and movement into different forms of narrative that challenge time, relationships, and tension, while also creating connections to nature, healing, and hope.
